B-Lok Batteries for Arri Cameras!

Introducing the latest 26v B-Lok (B-Mount) battery mount system to compliment Germanys world famous cinema equipment manufacturer ARRI media products. The B-mount system in 2022 will become ARRI's standardised chosen fitting for new products eliminating the use of the 14v systems. This allows the user to deliver power confidently across ARRI's entire product range as 26v will keep the current draw as low as possible, extending equipment runtimes and prolonging battery life cycle/longevity.
Hawk-woods manufacture 3 different capacity sized B-Lok (B-Mount) batteries providing flight safe solutions and an option for larger rigs where maximum on-board power is required. Batteries will be available at 98wh, 150wh and 350wh with 2-way and 4-way simultaneous chargers to compliment.
All 3 batteries boast a Multi-directional D-tap output for convenient cable exiting and battery data communication to Arri equipment.

WHY SHOULD I USE
B-LOK SYSTEM?
There are plenty of good reasons as to why you should opt for a 26v battery system for ARRI cameras; especially their latest ARRI LF camera. B-Lok is the perfect choice for native 24v cinematic cameras such as ARRI Alexa, Amira, Mini, and high-speed cameras such as the Phantom 4k. Hawk-Woods have been supporting ARRI with Reel Power onboard 26v batteries for over 5 years, so this is a proven solution which has been used across their existing cameras such as the ALEXA 65.
Using a 14v system, you would need two batteries on an adaptor to provide any power to the camera, due to the ARRI new camera's minimum voltage requirement of 19.5v. Benefits of using 26v over 14v, when you have a higher voltage you are demanding less current from the battery.
So, does this mean the 26v battery will run the camera for longer if the batteries were the same capacity? Short answer; No. However, over a period the 26v battery would outrun any 14v battery (which started off at the same capacity) as the 14v battery has had to work a lot harder to power the camera, so cell deteriation would take place. So essentially your 26v batteries are going to last you a lot longer.

Our B-Mount belts are an excellent method of keeping the excessive weight off your camera and offset to a sturdy durable leather belt that fits around your waist.
